This uncommon work is illustrated with several illustrations throughout. First edition. With the author's ink inscription to the half title page that reads 'With the authors Compliments Thos. H. Grattan Esmonde'. Illustrations from photographs taken by the author. With a total of 27 plates. Collated complete. Sir Thomas H. Grattan Esmonde was politician who served as an MP in South Dublin for the Irish Parliamentary Party. This work is a autobiographical account offering a series of anecdotes of the author's hunting excursions. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally heavily bumped to the head and tail of the spine, with rubbing to the spine, joints and extremities. Small rectangular mark to the tail of the front pastedown, which appears to have been caused by a former booksellers label. Light offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Ink inscription to the half title page. Very small amount of loss to the of pages 101 and 103, in no way affecting the text. The overall condition of the work in impacted by the external condition. Good. book.
