Hardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Poor. Photographic Ilustrador. Reprint. VIII, 122 pages, foreword by his Majesty the King of Nepal, preface to the first edition, introduction by author and two appendices. The text is illustrated with black-and-white photography, maps, black-and-white illustrations and the occasional black-and-white advertisements throughout the text. At the rear of the book are 2, 2 page fold out maps, one showing Kathmandu valley and the other a guide to the town of Kathmandu. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with yellow background and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. This guide was first put out in 1959 and this 1963 reprint is one of the earliest guides, to the then outrageously exotic country of Nepal. Uniform browning throughout the internal text. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front end paper. Rubbing and chipping, with loss, to the dustwrapper corners and to the lower backstrip edge. There is a large piece missing from the top right-hand corner of the rear panel, measuring 2.5 "at its widest and 3 inches at its deepest. The dustwrapper has suffered multiple rubs, tears and stains. The dustwrapper is now protected. Second Edition. Size: 12mo (standard paperback). Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
