Note a repair to hinge of one plate folding else very good. this is a famous late 17th century early 18th century Dutch philosopher and theological whose fascination with science led him to a teleological argument for the existence of God and pre dates the fabulous later thinkers along those lines. Freshly and finely bound by Alan Grace of Sussex UK in fine dark 1/2 English calf and marbled boards, internally very good. a handsome set. with maroon gilt calk skin title labels on spine with raised bands.
