[LGBTQ Literature] Craigin, Elisabeth. Either is Love. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1937. Stated First Edition hardcover no dust jacket. 155 pages. Measures 5.25" x 8.25". Incredibly early memoir is written in first person and examines lesbian relationships in the 1930s. After the death of her husband, the narrator revisits the letters she wrote to him confessing her romantic relationship with another woman before they met. Either is Love advocates for an attitude of tolerance and understanding toward lesbian love, a radical idea for the time it was released in 1937. The memoir is listed in Grier as one of "few titles that stand out above all the rest and must properly belong in any collection of Lesbian literature." Minor wear and fading two boards. Pages are clean and textblock is neat. In very good condition.
