Libro
Soft cover. Condición: Good. 336 pages, a Doubleday Projections Book, date on title and copyright pages the same. Several spine creases, binding is not cracked, light wear to the corners and edges, sparsely scattered foxing through the first 15 pages. Text clean. Hard to classify genre- labeled as non-fiction by the publishers, it is apparently a novelized chronicle. As the copy on the rear wrap states: : "Being a skeletal history and chronicle of the experiences of a single, minor freak connected to a single, minor tribe of acid freaks in California, beginning in the early days of the Psychedelic Revolution.".

Paperback. First Ed thus, later printing. Very Good+ in Wraps: shows indications of very light use: light wear to extremities; mild rubbing and faint soiling to the wrapper covers; there is a rough patch near the bottom edge of the front panel [perhaps due to a former owner's removing the price]; binding square, but shows a couple of faint creases at the back strip, and remains secure; text clean. No longer pristine, but remains close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 336pp. First Ed thus, later printing. Trade Paperback. William Craddack was a participant observer during a time wracked with change and birth. A minor character playing out his life in what begins as a backwater town of the movement. The window he provides us is not ornate with suppositions. It is only an aluminum slide window so common in homes in the San Jose area in the 1960's and 70's William Craddack is a reluctant foot soldier and a damned good story teller. I chanced upon his tome when I was in the 8th grade and my single copy went from hand to hand and through all the social groups that made up our school's culture. Be Not Content became our manifesto.

Hardcover. Condición: VG/NF. Estado de la sobrecubierta: VG/NF. First Edition. Book appears very lightly read with a hint of foxing at edges, probably due to storage and the less than perfect paper stock. Dust jacket is intact with no visible defects save for a touch of tanning at the edges. Very scarce in this condition! "Being a skeletal history and chronicle of the experiences of a single, minor freak connected to a single, minor tribe of acid freaks in California, beginning in the early days of the Psychedelic Revolution, including a brief sampling of an insignificant number of individuals involved, their ideas and their ideals, and a flickering glimpse of but a scant few of the problems, obstacles, superstitions, fears, misunderstandings, joys, insights, loves and frustrations that they faced, manufactured and struggled with in their once pure quest for the elusive path to even more elusive enlightenment in a set constructed exclusively of intricate but obvious illusions of which they occasionally (with infinite sadness, regretting the revelation) realized that they were undeniably a micro-part." 336 pages + endpapers.

Paperback. Condición: Fair. SIGNED by the author with a gift inscription which reads "A brother from the old days and a brother still- keep on keeping on, Bill Craddock". The book has substantial stains and wear to the cover and outer pages and fore-edge. The pages in general are yellowed and foxed from age and some corners curled and creased. There's also a sight waviness to the pages from prior water exposure. Not a beautiful condition but definitely usable and collectible due to the rarity of this signed edition.

First Edition Be Not Content : No indication of an edition Ñ the copyright date and full title page are the same. Near fine illustrated wraps with clean text throughout.Twilight Candelabra : First Edition. The author's second book. Fine and bright wraps with barely a hint of trouble, with its full back cover dynamic photograph of the author. A handsome copy and the best we've seen. William J. Craddock (1946-2004) only published two novels in his lifetime surveying and participating in the psychedelic and biker culture in California 1960s. Craddock was the editor of the underground newspaper "The Mobius Strip" from 1966-1967. He mainly was based in Santa Cruz, California where he died. Both books have become legendary in their time. We are offering both books in their original editions.
