Booklet. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Jacket As Issued. George Alfred Williams Ilustrador. First Edition. The Adventures of Jack and Betty was written by Clara Andrews Williams and illustrated by George Alfred Williams. The book was published by The Crowell Publishing Company in 1914 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's not an ex-library copy and is, actually, a booklet in good condition with 8 pages including the front and back covers. The illustrations are colorful and charming, but what sets it apart is: "Follow these instructions carefully and you will not only go on an adventure with Jack and Betty, but you will have two delightful little paper-doll toys to play with." They're still there and have not been cut out and used. It's an interesting vintage piece. Thank you!.

/George Alfred Williams, illustrator. Ilustrador. CONDITION: Fair; no names, hinges sturdy, warped boards have water spots, rubs, and soil, especially in margins and edges, and spine cloth in poor condition; endpapers bubbled with margin soil; nice title page, all pages are glued with all pieces apparently present (two small feet cracks), three professionally glued margin tears; judging by title page, paper is fairly light in tone but offset from pieces make it appear unevenly soiled and darker. Picture Book hardback tall shabby Magnificent pictures of the animals: constructing the ark, running toward it in a storm, drowning in the flood, sitting at dinner in the ark, playing, dancing, conferring with Noah, and racing off onto dry land two by two. Apparently done by a careful older child, so that the cutting of the black lines is not perfect and a few of the placements are debatable, but a wonderful piece and hard to find in this series. ABE Heritage Seller since 1996; conservative AB condition grading. We ship all our books in cardboard protection. International shipping. /George Alfred Williams, illustrator.

Condición: Near fine. First edition of this delightful tale of young Jack and Betty's romp through various fairy tales and nursery rhymes, with doors to open and holes to peep through. The book relates the adventures of two little children with many humanized objects and animals, told with the help of the clever cut-outs. Each page has a moveable flap or aperture that the child can cut out. When lifted, the flaps reveal part of the next page that also happens to fit into the page one is reading. On one adventure they travel down a telescope into Wonder-land, in another they go to Fairy Land. Printed on coated paper and featuring great color illustrations by George Alfred Williams (who with his wife also produced all the Glue novelty books). Clever - and a nice copy. 11'' x 8.75''. Original red cloth boards with large color pictorial onlay and die-cut hole. Illustrated in color. 64 pages, the majority with moveable flaps or peepholes. Spelling activity on page 24 lightly completed in pencil. Binding with a hint of edgewear. Leaves with occasional faint soil to margins; several flaps with light edgewear, one with a small chip. Colors bright.
