Hardcover. Condición: Good+. Bayard Jones Ilustrador. Reprint. SCARCE early printing in blue boards with illustrated cover and navy and red titling; illustrated by Bayard Jones; 286pp. Does not have the tradition Doran colophon on copyright page indicating it is not a first edition (be careful on this one!). Good+ with partially detached title page (top 2.5 inches) and hinges a little loose; light wear at extremities; gift inscription in pencil on first free endpaper. A decent collectible copy of a scarce title.

Hardcover first edition - First edition. The first book in what was intended to be a 4 books series on "Boys at the Front in the Great War" - but apparently only the first 2 titles were published, both in 1915. Illustrated with a glossy frontispiece and 5 inserted plates by Bayard Jones. 286 pp. Fair condition only in illustrated blue cloth (front free endpaper and one plate missing, crease down spine, other wear to the covers, but still a very readable and reasonably decent copy of a hard-to-find title).

Presumed Early Printing without colophon at title page. Bayard Jones illustrations. "A story of cavalry daring - bicycle and armored automobile adventures". Despite being intended for young adults, a rather uncommon World War One themed novel to be found in dustjacket. "A Cadet of Belgium pictures the German advance into Belgium, the siege of Liege, the struggle to reach the French border. It brings in armored motor cars, motor cycles, the German and Belgian cavalry". Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket with chipped spine ends.
