Important early economic study of these Mid-Atlantic colonies, with additional suggestions on such further improvements as the establishment of public schools, banks, and storehouses. Green blind-stamped cloth with gilt title on front board, and gilt decoration on rear board. Moderate to heavy edgewear and rubbing. Former library book from Bucknell University with markings on spine, inside front board, and on preliminary pages. Library pocket part removed inside rear board along with portion of rear endpaper. Binding firm but front two pages detached. Contents pages toned but largely very good. Howes B-929.

Dark green gilt stamped cloth over boards, 111 pp. + 40 pp. adverts, a new edition with an Introduction and notes by Edward Armstrong. Corners and spine ends bumped with wear, back cover damp stained, as is the fore-edge of front cover, a dampstain on all pages at the gutter in a "V" shape that extends out 2" on top of each page, and down about 2" along gutter; also a faint line of damp stain along top edge of pages near the end of the book.
