Size Folio, reports all with separate pagination. Half black morocco over marbled boards with gilt titles and bands to the spine. Condition very good, binding has been professionally repaired and rebacked with a new spine and new end-papers, first and last few pages toned and browned, a couple of pages tatty at the edges, else contents very clean. Health and Sanitation Inspector's Reports to the local Government, including and mainly in relation to outbreaks of Typhoid - here known as Enteric Fever, and statistics in relation to their living conditions and toilet arrangements etc. Also Diptheria, Scarlatina, Cerebro-spinal Meningitis, High Infant Mortality Rates, Infectious Diseases etc. Includes graphs and tables, some diagrams and some maps, including folding and hand-coloured in outline. Fascinating to dip in to, makes for gruesome reading as to the state of sanitation in some towns and cities at the time. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Book.
