Decorative Cloth Hardcover. Condición: Good. 7 1/2" x 10", gray cloth boards with blind-stamped gilt title, red, green and gilt illustration to front board, red cloth spine, beveled board edges, all edges gilt, elaborate gilt foliate endpapers, 88 pp. Excellent late Victorian edition of The Arabian Nights, with 12 striking full-page chromolithographs by Will & Frances Brundage, and J. Willis Grey; arrangement by Helen Marion Burnside. Original pictorial boards, red cloth spine covering probably a replacement; binding is quite sound. See both photos enlarged. Very scarce. Overall a quite good example though some staining across the upper part of the front board, leading corner tips are bumped and worn through, interior leaves & chromos very good except for a thin stain at the forward edge of most pages (approx. 1/8" thick by 1 1/2" long). Wonderful endpapers are excellent, some f.o names to fly-leaves, most in pencil; otherwise good.

Hardcover. Condición: Poor. ; Rare. Elephant folio 18" x 14". Book is completely disbound including all pages. Unknown whether it is complete as there are no page numbers. Present are the color illustrated title page (some full color and others single color) , 11 color plates, 13 text pages with b&w illustrations on each, and last page (presumably) with small amount of text and small b&w illustration, plus all end sheets, and complete cover. The pages and plates are in fair to good condition. Most have creasing and short tears and soiling in the margins, some a bit more tattered at extremities. Despite the margin condition, the color plates are clean and damage free within the illustrations and gorgeous. This could be a candidate for preservation of the pages and rebinding of this very scarce book, or for framing the plates.
