Cardboard covers. Condición: Very good. First Edition. oblong quarto, bound in original stiff card covers with heavy black cord binding, covers moderately to heavily worn- especial near the black rope binding. A few leaves are loose or partially so due to the ackward choice of binding, but content near fine otherwise with 57 photographs of old time Batavia (now Jakarta) reproduced to make this album. The reproduced photos are tipped in on stiffer card leaves, but several are detach from the cards but still in fine condition otherwise. Overall contents are fine except that a few photos are loose, binding is fair to good. Text in Dutch. Rob Nieuwenhuys is listed in credits and may be source of many of the photos. Included are two reproduction maps of Batavia and the central area thereof. Very interesting production. Note, due to size of this book shipping outside the USA may be more expensive.
