Condición: Trade paperback, New, Carl Bobertz Ilustrador. Eureka: Stark House Press:, 2021. Trade paperback, New, 272 pp. Cover artwork by: Carl Bobertz "THE PLASTIC NIGHTMARE: When he comes out of the coma, they tell him he's been in a very serious accident. His car flew off the side of the road, throwing his wife clear, but badly disfiguring him in the smashup. They've performed plastic surgery on him, but the problem is, he doesn't remember any of it. He doesn't even remember who he is. Dan Marriott only knows that he has a sexy wife named Judith, partnership in a successful stockbroker firm, and a beautiful home in the Marin hills. But none of it seems familiar to him. Then he begins to discover that his happy marriage hadn't been so happy, that there had been another man, that possibly he had been set up to drive over that cliff. If only he could remember, before they try to kill him again. WHILE LOVE LAY SLEEPING: Twenty years ago Paul Sevrance returned from World War II to find that his young wife Cathie had committed suicide in her apartment. The ghost of that past still haunts him. Now he is going through her trunk for the first time since the tragedy and discovers a letter she had written to him the same day she turned on the gas-but had never sent. He also finds her suicide note. But something just doesn't make sense here. Part of the suicide note has been cut away. And nothing in Cathie's letter indicates the thoughts of a woman contemplating killing herself. While Paul was away, could his wife have had an affair. and if so, could her suicide have been instead a case of murder?" This is a print-on-demand edition.

Paperbacks. Condición: Good or better. Bob Stanley, Carl Bobertz, Victor Kalin, William Rose, James Meese (cover illustrations) Ilustrador. Various editions. Five titles with a focus on America's favourite past-time: murder. In these titles we have murder in Natchez, murder on the West Coast, murder on Broadway, murder in Berlin, and murder in New York City. If that doesn't seem like quite enough murder, don't worry: the Second Amendment pretty much guarantees that there'll be a steady supply of guns, and thus a continuing stream of murders. (Interesting fact #1: if you selected 100 Americans at random, between them they would own 120.5 guns. Interesting fact #2: every 30.5 minutes someone in America is murdered. It took me +/- 30 minutes to create this listing. I hope that the murder victim during that half-hour wasn't someone you loved.) The Roth title is in G only condition, the rest better. Sorry, but no substitutions. Size: 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Book.

Mass Market Paperback. Condición: Good. Bobertz, Carl Ilustrador. First Paperback Edition. Originally published in hard covers by Dodd, Mead in 1951 under the title The Paper Circle. First paperback edition. Light reading creasing to spine. Light edge rubbing to covers and a very small crease to the top corner of the rear cover. Nice looking copy but careful handling will be needed as a gap is showing between the spine and the title page - the binding seems secure enough but vigorous reading would change that. Pages browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Cover art by Carl Bobertz. First printing. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.
