small 4to. pp. 8 p.l., 468, [4]. woodcut ornaments & initials. modern vellum (lower margins closely trimmed with loss of typographical border on title, fore-edge margin of title & last leaf repaired cutting into border of title & just a few letters on last 2 pages, some dampstaining in first 2 gatherings & a few leaves towards end, occasional stains, fore-margin of 1 leaf cropped). Third and Best Edition of the Spanish Translation by Diego Felipe de Albornoz, the first to be printed in Barcelona. The first Spanish edition of this account of the English civil war was published in Madrid in 1658. A fourth book was added to the second edition of 1659 and a fifth book taken from the Cronohistoria del Mundo by Timoteo de Termine is added here for the first time.
