Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. This is a copy of the second edition of this book [ c.1933 ] which was first published on 30th November 1932. The book is Birkin's famous account of his life in motor racing. The book, which is neatly marked as a Christmas present in 1933 incorporates Birkin's apology statement. The book has rough cut pages to the side and bottom edges. The book is in fair/good condition for its age with a strong binding with a sun faded spine to the hardback. Sadly there is no dust jacket. Condición: Very Good. Hardcover,first edition, 291 pages with illustrations. " Tim" Birkins's motor racing experiences and deeds in this classic of motor racing literature. Racing in the days of Brooklands, Bentleys and rolled up shirt sleeves! Although undated , the volume includes the apology for any perceived critisisms of the Brooklands track and it's proprietors dated 1st Dec 1932. Birkin sadly died as a result of a burn to his arm from coming in contact with a hot exaust pipe. He is buried in Blakeney Churchyard, North Norfolk where he had a home. A Very Good copy,no dustjacket. The covers slightly faded but tight, no inscriptions. Pictures available.
