Black coloured cloth covered boards with green coloured embossed illustration to the front panel and green coloured titles to the back strip. Pale green tint to the top text edge. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for frontispiece, with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The adventures of Annaliese, Hansel, Lottchen and Friedl at their uncle's farm high up in the Black Forest, along with a plump white goose called Lena. Rubbing to the lower book edges with softening of the back strip edges and bumping to the top right hand corner of the front panel. Some darkening of the end pages. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Some Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. There is a 0.25" tear to the top right hand corner of the back strip, with a similar sized tear to the top edge of the rear panel.
