Condición: Fair. 1st Edition. 8vo, pp. ix, 364, half green calf over marbled boards, much scuffed, label with title to spine is missing but impression still evident, corners bumped, label removed from fep, endpapers and those adjoining foxed, including the frontispiece and title page, the latter with tears to top and bottom at hinge, hinge open between that and the preface, coloured fold-out map with a mark to lower edge, similarly so to the first page of the text, thereafter clean and crisp until the appendix pages (last eight), whereby a damp stain affects top corner at the fore edge. Binding otherwise tight.

Bound in full dark red textured leather, spine lettered in gilt, inside edges of covers with gilt design, marbled endpapers, all page edges gilt; rubs to joints and very short splits of half inch at top and bottom but everything square and tight; internally very clean tight and unmarked with no age spotting; map frontispiece, other wood engravings in text; no other full-page illustration found.

The author notes the resources which Norway offers the angler and sportsman. He describes each province in turn and where possible the routes to various rivers, he gives an alphabetical index of rivers. Chapters on wild reindeer, feathered game, bear and lynk, hunting etc.
