Cloth. Condición: Very Good +. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Russell E. Hollenbeck Ilustrador. First Edition. Song of Metamoris, A Story that Remains of a People Who Passed This Way was written by Milford E. Anness and illustrated by Russell E. Hollenbeck. The book was published by The Caxton Printers, Ltd. in 1964 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's not an ex-library copy and is in very good + condition while the dust jacket is in very good condition . . . with a small piece missing at the top, left, front. The book has 510 pages with a Table of Contents and black-and-white illustrations. It's a historical novel. "The book is historically accurate, considering the occasional contradictions that exist among authorities on the times, and all the principle characters are depicted as history and tribal traditions represent them." It appears to be a narrative, not quite as "intricate" as Allan Eckert's narratives about Tecumseh, but a nice rendition of the times. Metamoris was a young Delaware chieftain who accompanied Tecumseh and, eventually, became a confidant of Tecumseh's. There's an inscription by Anness, then a signature (that's even readable) on the half title page. Thank you!. Signed by Author(s).
