Near Fine in a Good slipcase with neatly repaired split at the top edge.

In three volumes: 431pp, 493pp, 685pp. Worthy special paper, full rust-color linen, stamped in colors and gold. In worn slip case. One of 1500 copies, signed by the artist Edward A. Wilson. The lithographs are said to be beautiful, but obscure, which prompted a very important author of that day to state in effect that 'the author should never influence the illustrator'. (loc 1045/1).
