Launched in 1891, HMS Royal Sovereign stood as the flagship of the Royal Sovereign-class battleships, a notable group of pre-dreadnoughts in the Royal Navy. Armed with four large-caliber guns in twin turrets, the ship exemplified the naval technology of its time.
