Minneapolis, 1915. Folio, 10 x 13 inches, wraps bound over in plain brown paper boards. The scarce original issue of The Western Architect from January, 1915, featuring the work of Purcell and Elmslie. Features two series of plates of the architects' work. A very good copy with foxing to first page, some small creases to corner of a portion of pages and slight bowing to boards. Contents are bright and complete. The Prairie School Press reissued these images in 1965 but original copies are quite scarce. Not in worldcat. N° de ref. de la librería

Vol 1 in Fine condition, with only minimal creases to covers' edges, else very clean and bright; vol 2 Fine but unfortunately with large loss as it lacks the 20 pages (page I-XX) of advertisements that also features the colophon and preface, else very clean and bright. Two of the three special issues of The Western Architect magazine that focused on architectural firm Purcell & Elmslie, one of the most important and frequently commissioned among the Prairie School architects. The third issue, publlished in January 1913, is not present here. The three issues were reissued in 1965 by The Prairie School Press, but original copies are very scarce.
