DOUG SMITH" Below is affixed Smith's business card. Laid in is a four-page color memorial from his burial in 2007. Also laid in is a copy of an original essay by Smith entitled "The Elm" with the notations: "Lillian This is something I wrote for our members, after the tree on p. 25 rec'd its award---DLS 5/1/85" The elm referred to towers over the greem on hole numer ten of the East Course and is designated as the Largest American Elm in New York State.
