This monograph was No 52 in the Forest Service information series and deals with the charges in population, habitat, history and future prospects for three native and 17 introduced species, ranging in size from hedgehogs, bats and rats to cattle and deer. The sections are divided into chiroterans (bats), rodents, carnivores (dogs, cats and mustelids), insectivore (hedgehogs), marsupials, (possums and wallabies), ungulates ( wild horses, pigs, cattle, sheep and goaqts, thar, chamois, fellow and red deer.) First edition of 1965, 51 pages including literature consulted, numerous b/w photos, sketch, large folded map at back.
