108 pages. Dimensions: 9.2in. x 6.1in. x 0.5in.In 2002 playwright Gregory L. Hudson filed a 100 million dollar copyright infringement lawsuit against Eddie Murphy, Heavy D, Universal Pictures, Robert Ramsey, Matthew Stone, Imagine Films Entertainment, and Brian Grazer over the hit movie, Life, starring Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Bernie Mac, Ned Beatty, and Heavy D. Hudsons lawsuit alleged that protected elements (characters, scenes, dialogue, etc. ) from Hudsons hilarious stage play comedy, No Harm, No Foul, was used to create the Academy Award-winning hit movie (released in 1999) without Hudsons permission after a promise to pay him. This true story is cleverly written and tells Hudsons heart-pumping journey from the day he learned his play had been use through how he single-handedly tracked down Murphy, Heavy D, Universal, and served them with the lawsuit. Chapter thirteen, The 100 Year Curse, paints a chilling picture of hard times encountered by Murphy and others associated with Life and its creators. This David and Goliath story highlights copyright theft against independent artists and the unfairness of the American judicial system. It shows Hudsons betrayal by his lawyers and how he was prejudice by federal judges, which shouldnt happen to anyone. This item ships from multiple locations. Sinopsis:

In 2002 playwright Gregory L. Hudson filed a 100 million dollar copyright infringement lawsuit against Eddie Murphy, Heavy D, Universal Pictures, Robert Ramsey, Matthew Stone, Imagine Films Entertainment, and Brian Grazer over the "hit" movie, Life, starring Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Bernie Mac, Ned Beatty, and Heavy D. Hudson's lawsuit alleged that "protected elements" (characters, scenes, dialogue, etc.) from Hudson's hilarious stage play comedy, No Harm, No Foul, was used to create the "Academy Award-winning hit movie" (released in 1999) without Hudson's permission after a promise to pay him.

This "true story" is cleverly written and tells Hudson's "heart-pumping" journey from the day he learned his play had been use through how he "single-handedly tracked down" Murphy, Heavy D, Universal, and served them with the lawsuit. Chapter thirteen, "The 100 Year Curse," paints a chilling picture of hard times encountered by Murphy and others associated with Life and its creators.

This "David and Goliath" story highlights copyright theft against independent artists and the unfairness of the American judicial system. It shows Hudson's betrayal by his lawyers and how he was prejudice by federal judges, which shouldn't happen to anyone.

From the Author:

For My Fellow Artists ... this book is dedicated to all of those Independent Artists and their families whose lives have been and continue being unjustly destroyed by copyright thieves, thier corrupt lawyers, and an 'infected judicial system' that (not only support these inhumane acts against society through judges' knowingly improper rulings) seemingly sanctions and encourages these unholy predators, as long as certain members of the establishment receives their fare share of the profits. In the eyes of these humaniods, the lives of ordinary peole are worthless and serve no purpose other than to become, prey, food, or fodder so that these 'fat-cats' can grow fatter and the rich can grow richer.

It is with my deepest sympathy and heart-felt sorrow to all of you victims of these savages (copyright thieves) and to your precious families that you must endure such horrendous injustic. However, you can rest assure that as long as there is an ounce of breath in me that I will fight and never submit to these beasts-like animals, their unrelenting greed, and un-quenching thrust to prey upon the weak and venerable.
________

As for the book, I did not write this book to attack, defame, slander, libel, or destroy the career of comedian Eddie Murphy ... or anyone else mentioned in this book.

I wrote this book for the sole purpose of setting the record straight with respect to 'my credibility' and as to "Why I Sued Eddie Murphy".

In writing this book, it didn't take very long to discover that Eddie Murphy has a very long and storied history of being sued for copyright theft.

This book is similar to my other books in the sense that they are highly educational, as well as entertaining. My other published books are Monologues: Dramatic Monologues For Actors", "Showtime: Comedic Acting Scenes for Two Actors", and "48 Poems: Reflections Of A Poet".

I beleived that this maybe the most important book ever written on the subject of copyright theft, due process of the law, the American Judicial System through the eyes of an artists and victim and it should be in every law school and library in this country.

In the end, this book has and will go a very long ways towards stopping copyright theft. As long as copyright thieves know that this book is out there and that there may be more Gregory L Hudsons willing to put it all on the line to protect their works, copyright thieves will have second thoughts. Every writer should read this book to better understand "how to protect their work".
