Sinopsis:

Water Women Wisdom is a journey celebrating and acknowledging women's great wisdom gained through the challenges they face each day. During the summer of 2004, Nancy and Heather Jeske paddled 575 miles from the headwaters of the Mississippi River to Red Wing, MN. Gatherings of women were held at locations along the canoe / kayak route. Around a Sacred Peace Fire, the elder women shared their stories and wisdom.

Paddling the Mississippi River Nancy's purposes are to soulfully journal the joys and challenges faced paddling the great river with an all-woman team of paddlers and to celebrate women by gathering the elder women, collecting and sharing their wisdom. The first leg of the expedition (574 miles) was in 2004 and went from Itasca State Park, to Red Wing, Minnesota. The second leg (620 miles) is in September 2007 and will travel from Red Wing to St. Louis, Missouri. She is looking forward to many women joining her paddling and at the gatherinings and listening to the inspiring discussions. As a public speaker, Nancy Scheibe motivates her audience to do more than they thought they could. Nancy's interactive workshops assist participants in incorporating information gathered into their daily life. Personal Statement "I believe self expression is essential for a full life. Expressions of thoughts, feelings and impressions provide opportunities to communicate, heal, learn and just have fun.
