Sinopsis: Driven into a sudden, vicious storm in the Gulf of Mexico a young man fights for his life and faces his fears and demons on the water while his parents and lover grapple with their own ghosts of the past and hopes for the future on shore as they wait. THE WAIT is a gripping look at people caught in a crisis with reverberations from their past often drowning them in waves they can’t conquer, while the malevolence of the knowing storm outside fuels the fears within their hearts inside. It is an emotional study of hearts and minds, courage and cowardice crashing head on. Their survival depends upon their beliefs and their faith. It is a triumph.

About the Author: John F. Goff’s debut novel completes a cycle for him in that it’s a return to his Mississippi Gulf Coast roots. Born and reared in Moss Point, MS he left there as an actor and carved out careers on stage, TV (L.A. LAW, SIMON AND SIMON) and movies (THE FOG, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY) and 100 others. As a writer he served on staff of both entertainment industry trade papers THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER and DAILY VARIETY as staff reporter/critic and associate editor before turning to screenwriting in the U.S. (BUTTERFLY, THE NIGHT STALKER) and Europe (A TIME TO DIE, HUNDRA) numbering 15. Recently he has returned to the stage in THE LEOPARD, a one-man show as ERNEST HEMINGWAY remembering back on his life during his final hours. Currently he resides in Southern California and returns to Mississippi several times a year.
