Two Vintage Rodeo Programs, undated, circa 1930's. The first is the Official Program First Annual Roundup for Worlds Championship. It is a single folded sheet with an illustration of a man riding a bronco. The Roundup took place October 24th to Nov. 1st at Ascot Park, Los Angeles California. Add. P. Day is listed as the Managing Director and John Mullen as the Arena Director. The inside of the folded sheet lists 14 events Including Bucking contest, Trick roping, bareback, Calf roping, trick riding Bonnie Gray and her Jumping Horse Jumping over a Touring automobile, wild horse race, among other events. The other program is entitled "Worlds Congress of Rough Riders and Rodeo". This is a single folded sheet printed on one side and taped to the interior of the first program. It lists Events III through XVIII, with similar events and also a roman chariot race, Feats of Horsemanship by the Imperial Russian Cossacks, the Algerian Riffs, and Indian Sports and Pastimes by First Americans. The First program is in acceptable to poor condition, It is split in two along the center crease and has many chips and tears (some repaired with old tape). A hand written "1934" is next to the list of events on the inside. The back cover lists the name, city and state of all 157 contestants. The second program is in good condition, folded and taped to the interior of the other program. It is lightly aged and has notes in pencil listing various times for the team roping event and the places of other contestants as well as the names of other contestants that were not printed on the list. An interesting piece of California Rodeo history and Ascot Park history. N° de ref. del artículo 20190521001
