The text also includes "translations from their principal works. " The books are bound in three-quarter leather with marbled boards over marbled boards, and vol. II has library tape covering the spine. The volumes show some external wear with vols. I and III lacking the top portion of their spines. The bindings are solid and pages are generally clean with new endpapers and library markings. Possibly 4th edition. Published 1822 .
