This mint unread copy is bound in cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine, tight, white, bright and square. The unclipped dust wrapper is lightly sunned to the spine otherwise in fine condition. Harold James Dyos (1921–1978) was a British historian, known for his contributions to urban history. He wrote many essays addressing the issue of urbanization. The author unites a keen topographical sense, an eye both for the idiosyncracies of Victorian architecture and the less easily discerned niceties of social gradiation, with a scholarly mastery of his scources. The boards are a bit grubby with mark to bottom of spine where cellotape would have once been. Two inch black line to back board. Spine is missing its outer covering.
