About the Author:

Michael Capek is a former teacher who lives with his family in Covington, Kentucky. He first saw a terracotta warrior face to face in a museum and has been fascinated by them ever since. Michael is the author of award-winning books for young readers, many of them about history. Allison Lassieur has written more than 100 books on many topics, including history, biography, science, and current events. She has also written fiction novels and short stories, puzzles, and activities. When she isn't busy writing, Allison enjoys knitting, spinning, and reading good novels. Allison lives in Trenton, Tennessee with her husband, daughter, and a houseful of pets. In her books for young readers, Heather L. Montgomery shares her passion for nature. During her 20 years of outdoor education, Heather has unearthed many mysteries - from snake tongues to slurping bugs; the more bizarre, the better. Nature's riddles led her to obtain a B.S. in biology and M.S. in environmental education. You can find more questions that have perplexed her in Wild Discoveries: Wacky New Animals, The Case of the Missing Arctic Fox and Other True Animals Stores for You to Solve and Mummies: Truth and Rumors. Heather lives in Alabama with her husband, cat, and dog.
