Descripción Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston and New York, 1926. A superb copy. Bound in crisp, finely woven red cloth stamped bightly in black lettering on the front boards and on the spine, this copy is virtually fine. In a superb dust jacket printed in black on heavy white stock with slight darkening to the spine and the original price of $4.00 at the top of the inside front flap. A very clean and crisp dust jacket with only the lightest touches of wear to the edges. A charming, collectible copy with the Black Horse Flag featured on the front dust jacket panel. Isabel Weld Perkins (March 3, 1876 – November 3, 1948), mostly known as Isabel Anderson or Mrs. Larz Anderson after her marriage, was a Boston-area heiress and author who left a legacy to the public that includes a park and two museums. "This book by one of the best known American women is a story of several generations of nautical adventure and achievement. Mrs. Anderson is descended from those two distinguished maritime families, the Welds and the Perkinses. Not only were these two houses conspicous in the mercantile but also in the naval history of the United States, and in the annals of these families and of the Andersons the author has gathered together a great wealth of spirited anecdotes and interesting facts. First Edition with matching dates on 1926 on the title and copyright pages. Nº de ref. de la librería 152
