Broadside, folio, engraved, printed one side as issued. A Satire addressed "To the Independent El-----rs of W-----" on the unpopularity of John Perceval, Second Earl of Egmonty (1711-1770) after his desertion of the Independents to whom he had owed his election for the seat of Westminster. He was so unpopular that he had to seek another seat at the 1747 Parliamentary Election. In the engraving Perceval leans on his family history whilst in the background are Whitehall and the Equestrian statue of Charles I.Supposedly drawn by "Adam Stanup of Eden Pinxit" and engraved by "Dame Eve his Wife Sculptit" BM.
