This is an "evasion", "survival" or "escape" vintage map compiled for the U.S. Air Force at the time of the Korean War; these light-weight "silk" maps (actually most were man-made fabrics) were carried by military personnel with missions in enemy territory, each map containing information crucial to facilitating escape to friendly territory. Topography is indicated with contour lines. Scale 1:2,000,000. Map of the Verkhoyanskiy Range includes approximate coordinates 116 to 172 degrees east and 58 to 74 degrees north, plus an inset map: Navigational Star Chart. Map of the East Siberian Sea includes approximate coordinates 148 degrees east to 156 degrees west and 58 to 74 degrees north. 'Published by the Aeronautical Chart Service, U. S.
