Bound by Ayling binder, London, in 3/4 leather, with rosy linen boards, red leather spine with raised bands and tips, marbled endpapers. Slight wear to spine ends, corners, most noticable at spine head. Binding appears to be pre WWII. Some light foxing throughout and sepia and white photos, drawings throughout text. Gift inscription on first blank "With Hearty Greetings from Uncle Hoplon (? ) formerly of "Town Topics" of London's Clubland & Restaurant World to Al & Vi Leesone. Host & Hostess of California's Virginia Club at Long Beach "Derby Day" June 2nd 1954. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; [258] pages; This is a specially bound copy of the original 1908 booklet history of the Piccadilly Hotel, with copies in English, French, and German bound inside, followed by the booklet "Piccadilly in Three Centuries". All booklets published in 1908 by Everhard and originally in wrappers, color coat of arms and titling with gilt for the Piccadilly Hotel histories, gray for the general history.
