Black cloth boards with VERY dulled gilt titling to the spine. No dustjacket . The head/tail of the spine and the corners are 'bumped & rubbed' and the spine is a little faded. There is an old repair to the top of the spine and a few marks here and there but the covers are generally sound. All hinges are tight and secure. There is a gilt heraldic 'logo' on the front board. The page fore-edges are lightly browned with a few foxing spots but Internally the book is VERY Clean - but there is a former owner 's name and date (1950) on the front pastedown, and a rather attractive green/white illustration/woodcut has been stuck in the centre of the front free endpaper - perhaps cut from the dustjacket? .
