First edition, 8vo., woodcut device by Jansonium within title, nine engraved plates (one folding) 320 pp., a few leaves lightly aged but a good copy bound in original vellum with a full gilt calf slip laid over the spine. Attributed to Pierre du Moulin (1601-1684). The eight portraits are of Stafford, Laud, Fairfax, Cromwell, Charles I, Charles II, Duke of Hamilton and the Earl of Holland. N° de ref. de la librería

Full page portraits include Thomas Wentworth, Laud, Archbishop of Canterbury, Oliver Cromwell, Thomas Fairfax, James Duke of Hamilton, Henry, Early of Holland. This copy also has the two extra leaves at page 85 of the names of Charles I judges. Bound in full dark brown contemporary morocoo ruled in gilt. The spine is raised and rendred in six compartments, ornately tooled and lettered in gilt, a.e.g. A clean, stron and beautiful copy. Nº de ref. de la librería 884587
