64 pages typescript on recto only with tables and index. Octavo (8 3/4" x 7") bound in original publisher's stiff wrappers. Notes by by A Becker, E Eliskases, A Lilienthal, V Pirc, H Friedmann, S Tartakower, G Stahlberg, A Steiner, E Steiner and E Grunfeld. (Linde-Niemeijeriana: 5484) First edition. Ujpest a suburb of Budapest hosted an international chess tournament which attracted sixteen players through out Europe. Andor Lilienthal from Hungary was the surprise winner with a score 11 one half point ahead of Vasja Pirc from Yugoslavia. Tied for third and fourth a full point and half behind the second place player was Paulino Frydman of Poland and Salo Flohr from Czechoslovakia. Fifth, sixth and seventh was shared with Gideon Stahlberg, Sweden; Ernst Gruenfeld, Austria; and Erich Gottlieb Eliskases, Austria all had a score of eight and half. In lone eight was Milan Vidmar, Sr from Slovakia. Ninth, tenth and eleventh was shared with Pál Réthy and Lajos Steiner both from Hungary; Karel Treybal, Czechoslovakia all had scores of six and half. Twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth each with six points were Saviely Tartakower, France; Endre Steiner and Kornél Havasi both of Hungary. Also of Hungary, Karoly Sterk captured sole fifteenth with five and half. Bringing up the end was George Alan Thomas of Britain with a score of five.
