Stated Second Printing. ILLUSTRATED BY TONY SARG. 5.25" x 7.5". 57 pages. Book is in VERY GOOD+ condition with green, black & cream colored cover with picture of marionettes, maid and tiger on top half of cover with title lettering on bottom half. Book has a VERY SCARCE paper insert that is a fascinating promotional piece for a live production with Sarg's marionettes. Show titled "Tony Sarg's Marionettes." Insert notes on back that the show is at the Moose Auditorium under the auspices of the Monday Musical Club with tickets for 50 cents and 10 cents for the evening show. Insert makes this a truly unusual copy. Book's binding is paper and there is black lettering on sunned spine. There is some mild rubbing mostly seen on back cover. Corners, spine tips and edges gently worn with small 1/4" chip on top front spine tip otherwise book is Near Fine. Pictorial endpapers with picture of various marionettes including a king, dog and hunter among others. Book is composed of chapters with illustrations throughout including chapter headings and some illustrations of marionettes with instructions of how to use them. Book ends with two plays by Anne Stoddard written for home-made marionettes.titled "Snow White and the Dwarfs" and "Little Red Riding hood."
