This is a book of poetry by young author, Jake Roussel, author of Through These Eyes. Roussel is visually impaired,yet abundantly gifted in the prose to the point that he is sought after for motivational speaking engagements throughtout Texas, and the East Coast. Roussel aids our seeing eyes to truly see what he so perceptively appreciates and sees. He reveals the process of understanding through his poems. The book contains inspriational, spirit filled and motivational works of poetry.

About the Author:

Born visually imparied, Jake now sixteen, wrote his first works at the tender age of thirteen. He's been published in various forums to include Hispanic Magazine, Reflections of Light, The National Library of Poetry and presented with the Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. Guest Speaker, Victoria Jr. College, Victoria,TX., Asked to write a segment in a book called Shoulder to Lean On., Journalist for City of Austin Interface Summer Job Program. Guest Speaker for Austin International Poetry Festival, and the Texas National Guard's black History Program, on the subject "Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow". Kellog's Foundation's Expert in Residence, while making a series of speaking engagements throughtout the community of Battle Creek, Michigan. Featured on Channel One News of Los Angeles, California, (National School TV), internationally syndicated Doug Banks Show on the ABC Radio Network.WFAA channel 8 in Dallas' statewide broadcast, Good Morning Texas, For Worth's NBC affiliate KXAS channel 5; Austin, Texas Featured in Elegant Woman, 97, and the late Ron Brown's Children, Nov 97, with CeCe Winans. Volunteered at channel 36 KXAN, sports department answering and taking phone messages. Majoring in Journalism at Austin Community College.
