A 1/2" tear at tail of dust wrapper spine. Dust wrapper is price clipped. Dust wrapper protected in archival mylar cover. ; Second printing. xii, [xiii-xvi], 369 pages. This second printing does not include the folding map and the fascimile Tibetan passport, which was included in a pocket at the rear of the first printing. It also differs from the first printing in that the frontispiece in the second printing is printed in black ink (it is printed in red ink in the first printing). The paper stock used is also a little thinner, making a slightly narrower book. Gold coloured cloth boards with red lettering on spine. Page dimensions: 234 x 154mm.
