Descripción Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1925, 1925. v + 277 p. This class history is dedicated to its "soldier-classmates, who gave their lives in the world's hour of gravest need." The necrology includes biographies and fine full-page photographs of eight 1915 graduates who died in battle and three more who died, respectively, of influenza, pneumonia, and a cold contracted while in service during World War I. There are biographies of nine others who died in the decade after graduation-six of illness, three in accidents. Further tributes to those who served in the war include a compilation of graduates organized by military service unit and rank; full-color plates of honor ribbons awarded, and to whom (Distinguished Service Cross, U.S., eight recipients; Legion of Honor, France, two; Croix de Guerre, France, twelve; Order of the Redeemer, Greece, one; Order of the Crown, one, and Croce di Guerra, one, Italy; Order of Danilo, Montenegro); a compilation of individual war records of all graduates; and a list of military citations to the class members. Additionally, there are essays on various occupations (the ministry, farming, publishing, etc.) written by graduates employed in them; an analysis of the average income of class members; a list showing the distribution of occupations; and a list showing the geographical distribution of the class's graduates, with names organized by state and there under city. Includes other greetings, fine full-page photographs of John Grier Hibben, president of the university; Joseph Chambers McKibben, class president, and Bevis Longstreth, class vice-president; and photographs of Princeton students in 1915 and group photographs of the 1920, 1921, and 1924 reunions. A nice drawing of a Princeton building accompanies a poem by Princeton professor Francis Charles MacDonald. The reunion committee was comprised of W. Manning Barr, chairman, and R.L. Blodgett, R.E. Christie, Jr., J.V. Forrestal, H. Froelick, A.M. Kidder, H.C. Merritt, Jr., G. J. O'Sullivan, G. F. Riegel, H.H. Salmon, Jr., K.L. Sills, and J.D. Sullivan. Orange hard cover with black title block and spine, gilt titles; cover has some wear and stain; many pages are uncut and one was cut very badly, but otherwise the book is fine: tight, straight, clean, hinges firm.
