Broadside, oblong folio, engraved, very good copy printed one side as issued. The exceedingle rare Satire on the restoration of the Island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to the French under the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle which ended the struggle known as "The War of Austrian Succession". By the treaty it was agreed that until hostilities ceased two English Noblemen must be put forward as Hostages. The illustration shows the Kings Edward and Henry plus Oliver Cromwell starting from their graves at such a concession to France, whilst the two hostages are surrounded by a Castelated wall . BM.
