hardback, 14" x 11", quarter black cloth with green cloth boards, armorial device in gilt to upper board, hand printed endpapers in a design resplendent of the fifties. A unique item, written, illustrated and bound by the author on the Art Teacher's Diploma Course of Bournemouth Municipal College of Art, June 1956 The work consists of a manuscript text in a fine hand and in black and red ink on fine art paper, illustrated to the text in pen and ink, in addition there are a number of mounted original watercolours and three maps, also hand painted. The mounted frontis water-colour is of the Gateway into Taunton, others include the Church, Bridge, Grey's Almshouses, The Crescent & the Market, twelve in total plus three maps and ten b&w drawings.The boards are a little discoloured but internally a very good clean and unmarked, nicely executed work.
