Barry Storm himself is an expert prospector and confirmed treasure hunter, and here he gives us an amazing true story of America's most famed lost gold mines, which is the basis of the film "Lust for Gold" (1949) with Glenn Ford, Gig Young and Ida Lupino. "An amazing cavalcade of exploring Spaniards, savage Indians, reckless miners, prospectors, adventurers all madly seeking since pioneer times -- and as madly seeking still! -- lost gold, hidden gold, Thunder Gods Gold -- epitome of a fabulous fabric of dreams that forever will blend over wild Western lands the romantic flavor of many centuries, many people, many traditions." 166 pp with appendix. Very light rubbing spine, spinecaps, and corners. A few tiny spots of discoloration to front and rear boards, a small bump to top of rear board, at spine. Second state DJ, four chips to lower DJ edge (from .5x.5" to .75x2"), three chips to upper DJ edge (from .5x.5" to .5x3"). Rubbing and a bit of cracking to seams, fading and rubbing to spine, a bit of faint staining in a few spots. Blue lettering to spine and front board, raw sienna cloth-covered boards. Many wonderful photographs, illustrations, even maps! Unmarked text. Measures 6x9 inches. New plastic covering to DJ, original price on flap. Very clean and tight. N° de ref. de la librería 67205
