This wonderful hardback book is in really good condition. Normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. Gorgeous gilt images on the front cover, and titles on the spine. The binding design is based on a manuscript volume of latin epigrams from Wolsey's own library which is now in the Bodleian Library and is said to be the earliest known example of the use of gold for bookbinding in England. Printed in Great Britain, by Western Printing Services, Bristol, Set in 12 point Polipbilus leaded 1 point, illustrations printed by The Vandyck Printers, Bristol and Bound by Key & Whiting, London. Some very slight shelf-life wear and marks. 242 pages, all intact, all text and illustrations in good, clean, readable order. Beautiful crest designs, with dark background, on inner front and back pages. Comes with grey coloured, cardboard slip case. A very nice book, and a perfect book for the home libarary.
