4to 11" - 13" tall; 156 pages; [no date given] Circa 1925-29. Self-published; appears to be typewritten mansucript (or an early non carbon type copying process) on good quality paper with print on single side of sheets only. 156 numbered pages. History of the name as found in Lyons, Donegal, Cloncallows and in America. Bound in 1/2 leather and marbled paper covered boards. Latest genealogical date found in the text is 1924. Includes several hand drawn or traced heraldic crests, one on special drawing board pinned to the underlying page. A fold-out with traced signatures of notable European Bredins. Also a foldout family tree on several sheets is laid in at rear. Here and there are some extended handwritten notes continuing genealogies or adding information. Wm. S, Bredin may have been residing in New York in the 1920's holding a board position ion a Pennsylvania brewer. Some discussion of Butler County in the later pages of the American section. Professionally bound with sewn pages. Boards are separated at the joints but present. Titles tooled in gilt to leather spine. An unusual genealogy; it appears to have been adapted or reissued by a lter Bredin in the 1990's. . Oversize book may require additional charges for expedited or international shipping.
