None. 1st. 22cm By 14.5cm. A relaxed and informal history of the Otago area from its pre-European days to the late 1870s, by which time immigration had well established the European presence. The author was a well known NZ historian/publisher and to this particular work he appended a 27 page section by Anthony Trollope, "A Journey Through Otago in 1872." from his larger work "Australia and New Zealand" first published in 1874. 367 pages, including guide of Maori pronunciation and Maori word meanings, b/w sketches throughout, mainly by Pat Fenton, 12 maps, decorative e/papers. Red hard covers with black spine titles VG with slight edge/corner wear, Inked name FEP verso, also names/address top title page, which has small chip top edge near gutter, text block otherwise VG+.
