94 p. 24 cm. Sound and square binding in yellow-cloth covered boards. Some wear to corners which are lightly bumped. A bit of soiling. Text block edges are foxed, less so to the endpapers. Gift inscription on front free endpaper. Inside pages clean, with one having a bit of pencil marking. The story of a scarecrow who leaves the farm to head to the big city to get a job as an actor. A little late for the Wizard of Oz, I guess. But, like Dorothy, he does discover that "there's no place like home". Illustrated with pen and ink drawings, some partially coloured.
