Descripción Charles Scribner's Sons, 1885. Hardcover. Estado de conservación: Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. One book, volume III-IV, attractive and clean, very light wear for it's age. Very dark maroon cloth-covered boards show a little soil, also light rubbing to heel + toe of spine and corners. Binding is slightly shaky at front gutter, still completely bound. Edges look good, yellowed and top is dust-stained but no 'thumbing'. Binding is straight and square, nothing protruding. There are a few random spots, very minor - no dampness. Only one dogear found in book, also two tiny corner tips ripped off. A name and city and the date 10.9.93 are penned in a beautiful hand on inner cover, no other writing. Stories: The Spider's Eye, by Hale; A Story of the Latin Quarter, Burnett; Two Purse-Companions, Lathrop; Poor Ogla-Moga, Lloyd; A Memorable Murder, Thaxter; Venetian Glass, Matthews; Miss Grief, Woolson; Love in Old Cloathes (sic), Bunner; Two Buckets in a Well, Willis; Friend Barton's Concern, Foote; An Inspired Lobbyist, Forest; Lost in the Fog, Brooks. 6 5/8 x 4 1/2" wide, first section 198 pages, second section 186 pages for a total of 384 pages. There is an exquisite undamaged pen & ink illustration opposite the title page with a tissue leaf over it; 'Frances Hodgson Burnett'. No other illustrations. On each story it is indicated where it was previously published i.e. 'Scribner's Monthly 1879', etc. No damp or odor!. Nº de ref. de la librería 006296
