Pale yellow endpapers with 246 pages, a fold out map, and 8 pages of publisher's undated ads in rear. Translated from the French by Miss Agnes D. Kingston. Beautifully illustrated frontispiece, 46 interiors and fold out map. Boards and spine show rubbing and edge wear. Spine ends and corners slightly bumped and just beginning to fray. First free endpaper contains previous owners signature in ink dated 1881. A Very Good+ copy with tight binding and unblemished off white pages.
