First German and indeed first printed edition (the original unpublished English manuscript having been lost) by the Anglican priest, astrologer, alchemist and mystic John Pordage (1607-81). Pordage kept a record of his spiritual development, including accounts of the visions he saw. This text consists of autobiographical information and twenty-two daily journal entries from June and July 1675, to which the unidentified translator has added a long glossary of terms. WorldCat locates only 9 copies: Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Worms, Marburg, Wolfenbüttel, Zurich, Ballerup, British Library. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 8vo, [i], 6, 230,  pp., contemporary marbled paper wrappers, expected loss to most of spine but binding still sound, faint dampstain visible in some bottom margins, isolated light spots, a very good copy with wide margins, uncut.
